Performance Standard 1: Professional Knowledge The
teacher demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, and
the developmental needs of students by providing relevant learning
experiences. These artifacts reflect my education and training as a dual enrollment mathematics instructor. Evidenced in the Artifact 1 is my Virginia teaching license which shows my endorsements in Mathematics and Gifted Education. I hold a Masters degree in Education with eighteen hours in Mathematics. Artifact 2 is a copy of my transcripts from North Georgia College and State University, where I took four courses in gifted education. These courses afforded me the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of the gifted students I teach. |
