Performance Standard 2: Instructional Planning The teacher plans using the
Virginia Standards of Learning, the school’s curriculum, effective
strategies, resources, and data to meet the needs of all students. Evidenced in Artifact 1 is my course syllabus for PreCalculus. This syllabus shows planning of curriculum aligned with the school’s curriculum and standards for student learning. Artifact 2 reflects planning based on student need. The differentiated lesson plan provides for student groupings that are appropriate to their pace and level of understanding. Together, these two artifacts provide evidence of long term planning as well as short term planning.
